Privacy Policy

• Account info: your email address and, if you opt in to SMS, your phone number.
• Preferences: subscription tier, and whether email/SMS alerts are turned on.
• If you connect a brokerage account (higher tiers only): OAuth tokens needed to read your positions — stored encrypted, never your brokerage password.
• Basic usage data (e.g. when you signed up, when a scan was sent to you) needed to operate the service.

We don't collect more than we need to run the product.

To create and manage your account, run the nightly/pre-market scans, and deliver trade card alerts to you by the channels you've opted into. We don't use your personal information to train AI models or sell it to advertisers.

We use a small number of service providers to run Slacktide, each only receiving what they need to do their specific job:

• Twilio — sends SMS alerts; receives your phone number and message content only when an alert is sent.
• Resend — sends email alerts; receives your email address and message content only when an alert is sent.
• Clerk — handles sign-in/sign-up and authentication.
• Supabase — our database; stores your account and preference data.
• Anthropic (Claude) — analyzes market data to generate trade candidates. Anthropic receives market data (prices, indicators, news) as part of that analysis, not your personal account information — the analysis is run once per scan and the result is then delivered to eligible subscribers, not run individually per user.
• EODHD, FRED, Finnhub, Yahoo Finance — market data sources used to build each scan. These are one-way data providers; no personal information about you is ever sent to them.

We don't sell your personal information to anyone.

We keep your account data for as long as your account is active. If you delete your account, we delete your personal information within a reasonable time, except where we're required to keep records for legal reasons.

You can turn email or SMS alerts on or off anytime from your account Settings, or reply STOP to any text message to opt out of SMS specifically. You can ask us to access, correct, or delete your personal information by emailing us (below).

We use industry-standard measures (encrypted storage for sensitive tokens, access controls) to protect your information, but no system is 100% secure — we can't guarantee absolute security.

Slacktide is not intended for anyone under 18, and we don't knowingly collect information from minors.

We may update this policy from time to time. We'll post the updated version here with a new "Last updated" date.
