Terms of Service

Last updated: September 15, 2026

1. Acceptance of terms

Slacktide ("Slacktide," "we," "us") is currently operated by an individual, Andrew Adams, as a sole proprietor. By creating an account or using Slacktide, you agree to these Terms of Service and our Privacy Policy. If you don't agree, don't use the service.

2. What Slacktide does

Slacktide runs an automated nightly scan of a stock/ETF watchlist for potential credit spread options setups, and re-checks those setups again before the next market open. Candidates that pass a defined set of rules are delivered to you as trade cards by email and/or SMS, showing the specific strikes, expiration, credit target, max loss, and probability-of-profit for each setup.

Slacktide does not place trades on your behalf and does not provide investment, financial, tax, or legal advice. Every trade card is informational only. You are solely responsible for deciding whether to act on it, and any trade you place is executed by you, in your own brokerage account, at your own risk. Options trading carries substantial risk of loss and is not suitable for all investors.

3. Eligibility and accounts

You must be at least 18 years old and able to form a binding contract to use Slacktide. You're responsible for keeping your account credentials secure and for all activity under your account.

4. Email and SMS communications (please read)

During onboarding, you choose whether to receive trade alerts by email, SMS, or both. By providing your phone number and opting in to SMS, you consent to receive automated text messages from Slacktide related to trade alerts and account notifications.

  • Message frequency varies with market activity — typically up to 2 messages per trading day (an evening alert and a morning follow-up), only on days a qualifying setup is found.
  • Message and data rates may apply, depending on your mobile carrier and plan.
  • Reply STOP at any time to cancel SMS messages, or reply HELP for help.
  • You can also turn SMS or email alerts on or off anytime from your account Settings page — opting out of SMS does not affect email alerts, and vice versa.
  • Carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages.

Consent to receive SMS messages is not a condition of using Slacktide's email-only tier.

5. Subscriptions and fees

Slacktide is currently offered free during its early access period. If paid subscription tiers are introduced in the future, pricing and billing terms will be presented clearly before you're charged, and these Terms will be updated accordingly.

6. Acceptable use

Don't use Slacktide to violate any law, attempt to reverse-engineer or scrape the service, or interfere with its normal operation.

7. Disclaimers and limitation of liability

Slacktide is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. We don't guarantee the accuracy, completeness, or timeliness of any trade card, market data, or analysis, and we're not liable for any trading losses or other damages arising from your use of the service, to the fullest extent permitted by law.

8. Termination

You can stop using Slacktide and delete your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate access for any account that violates these Terms.

9. Changes to these terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Continued use of Slacktide after a change means you accept the updated Terms.
